LOVE IN A FOREIGN LAND is Maria Vigar’s latest work inspired by a true story which took place between 1959 and 2009. The play ran at The Playground Theatre, London (26 Mar – 12 Apr 2025) to sold-out audiences and rave reviews.
Directed by award-winning Greek director, Anastasia Revi (Theatre Lab), the hauntingly beautiful and original soundtrack was composed and arranged by Louis de Bernières, a talented musician as well as international bestselling author (Captain Corelli's Mandolin).
Maria’s other noticeable works include AMERICANA!, inspired by true events and set during the Greek Civil War revealing a country at its most vulnerable and two peasant women daring to succeed against all odds, and THE MACHINIST, a one woman tragi-comedy featuring an animated chicken.
